Rogue's Review:

Literally did not want it to end

From the previews, this film definitely looked promising: Michael Douglas and Albert Brooks, playing the Peter Falk/Alan Arkin roles in a remake of "The In-Laws"? Had to be funny, I was positive. But I truly didn't expect the movie to be as hilarious and delightful as it actually turned out to be.

This is one of those extremely rare films that I literally did not want to end, it was that much fun. From the raucous opening spy scene, played over Paul McCartney's Live and Let Die, I sensed I was in for a real treat, and by the time Brook's character is introduced, fuggedaboudit. Couldn't wait for these two mis-matched maniacs to occupy the same screen. And there are other hilarious characterizations as well, particularly Vladimir Radian (I believe that's his name), whose face looks like a deranged-clone cross between Sean Connery's and Ben Gazzara's, whose performance is so ridiculously over the top it's sublime.
